Jeff Hipwell
Second Tenor
Jeff has been with the choir since 1981. From the age of six until he was eighteen he played cornet in the Salvation Army band. He spent 3 years in the RAF, serving in Germany, Belgium, the Middle and the Far East, finishing up in Cyprus.
He is a builder by trade and although now retired, building remains one of his hobbies. He moved to Peak Forest as a self-employed builder in 1968.
Jeff has many hobbies and interests, including hill walking, wood turning, photography, art and painting in all media. He likes to attend home football matches locally. He sings all types of music and has played clarinet, alto and tenor saxophone, guitar and banjo.
