| On the first
Sunday in July of every year, the choir organises this event, which
takes in Fantastic Views of the Peak National Park, Mam Tor, Lose Hill,
Ladybower, Edale and Castleton. You should bring OS maps No.1
(Dark Peak) and No.24 (White Peak).
It takes the form of a 25, 17, 13 or 9 mile event - your choice, and start and finish is at THE READING ROOM, Peak Forest, Grid reference 113793 on the A623. Support vehicles are on hand, check points with drinks are provided and there are sandwiches and hot drinks at check point 4 (approximately half way round the 25 mile route). Donations towards the cost of drinks would be appreciated. Walkers leave at 9:30 am. There are certificates and prizes - and soup, rolls and sweets are provided at the finish - cost included in the fee. Cost is £8 per person and cheques should be made payable to THE PEAKER'S STROLL ACCOUNT. A large area is provided for parking and please DO NOT park in the DEVONSHIRE ARMS car park.
