| Born in 1936 in
Sutton, Surrey David lived in the South East until being "early
retired" in 1989 after 27 years with Xerox. He came to
Tideswell with Val in1990 where they ran Poppies restaurant &
B&B until 2000 when they ceased restauranting to continue with just
the B&B.
They have a large family and can be seen around the area shepherding 11 grandchildren for a week in August during their annual week with Gran & Grandad - very hectic!! David has sung for about ten years, three of them with Tideswell Male Voice Choir. He enjoys Hill Walking and 'flattish' cycling, the highlight of the latter being a week's cycling in Holland. |
